Warranty & Tool Repair Policy

TOOLS UNDER WARRANTY

Markwell brand tools are warranted for 180 days from purchase; G series tools are warranted for 90 days. As from 9905 (tools manufactured since May 1999), all tackers will be date coded with month and year of manufacture, at the bottom rear of the case shoe. An example is 2206, which means this tool was manufactured in June 2022. This should allow for correct application of warranty returns, allowing approximately an additional 90 days to encompass shipment from the factory to Norwood, MA and subsequent distribution.

Any tools received back within the warranty period may be replaced with a new tool, if received in resaleable condition, or a reconditioned tool, or repaired, at Markwell’s option. Tools received back with initials or other scratchings on it, will be repaired only, and returned. 

MARKWELL FLAT RATE REPAIR PROGRAM/TOOLS OUTSIDE WARRANTY PERIOD

Any tool/s returned that are clearly outside the warranty period, i.e., more than six (6) months older than the date code indicated, will be repaired at a flat rate charge of $29.95, provided that the tools have not been abused, or used with incorrect staples, and are in repairable condition, and have been returned with all parts. 

The Markwell Flat Rate Tackers Repair Program includes all Markwell G series, L series, tackers at $29.95 each plus return shipping. 

The Markwell Flat Rate Pliers Repair Program includes all Markwell Pliers at $19.95 plus return shipping.

TOOLS NOT WARRANTED

Certain tools sold may not carry printed warranties. Examples are pneumatic and speciality tools returned for maintenance. Estimates will be provide for each tool on an individual basis prior to repair.  Customers will pay for return shipping, which will be included in the estimate.
